Best Practice: The Do’s and Dont's When Building Out Quizzes

We’ll cover a few top items that should be done and not done when building out your Discovery Surveys or Segmentation Funnels.

DO

Prepare your questions, graphics, and general copy before building out your quiz.

DON’T

Put together a quiz without any forethought regarding what you want to gain from it.

DO

Structure your questions so that depending on the participant’s demographic they are guided along the correct path.

DON’T

Assume that all questions will be relevant to all participants. Utilize branching/field logic and outcome mapping to tailor the experience as the quiz is being taken.

DO

Keep your Discovery Surveys and Segmentation Funnels Succinct.

DON’T

Make your quizzes so elaborate and long that the quiz taker loses interest and does not complete the quiz.

DO

Use video and aesthetically pleasing graphics throughout the quiz.

DON’T

Simply use the default system settings.

DO

Remember to input the correct meta information in the Configure section.

DON’T

Publish your quiz with the default meta information.

DO

Understand who your market is and what they want.

DON’T

Immediately launch a Segmentation Funnel without first publishing a Discovery Survey.
